Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Hawdaj collects, why, and how you can have it removed. It follows Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020.
What we collect
We only collect data you type into a form. If you list a car for sale, or ask what your car is worth, that is your name, phone number and the details of the car. If you reveal a seller's number, we collect your name and phone number so the seller knows who contacted them. Simply browsing — reading prices, listings and specifications — requires no account and collects none of this.
Why we collect it
A seller's phone number is how buyers reach them about their listing. A buyer's name and number are passed to that seller so they know who called, and let us follow up about the car. Car details are published on the listing and, once a car sells, the sale price is recorded — without anyone's name or number — so the price reference stays accurate.
Consent
We record the moment you tick a consent box, along with exactly what you agreed to. Each point where we ask for data has its own consent wording describing that specific purpose — listing a car, requesting a valuation, or contacting a seller are separate agreements, not one blanket permission.
Who sees it
A seller's phone number is shown only to someone who asks for it on that listing, and we pass that person's name and number to the seller so they know who to expect. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
How long we keep it
Listings expire 30 days after approval. To keep yours running, message us before it expires and we will renew it for another 30 days. We keep enquiry records for as long as we are in contact with you about them, and delete them on request.
Your rights
Under PDPL 151/2020 you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, withdraw your consent, or have it erased. We respond to requests within 30 days and there is no charge.
Deleting your data
Message or call us on the number below, or email us, and say you want your data removed. We will remove your listing and your contact details. Aggregate sale prices, which carry no personal information, remain part of the price reference.
